Reformed ladette: Zoe Ball displayed a rounded tummy in Brighton on the weekend
It could, of course, have just been a back twinge on a hot summer's day.
But judging by her posture, and the hint of a tummy bump, Zoe Ball might have some good news to announce shortly.
The 38-year-old TV and radio presenter has made no secret of the fact that she and husband Norman Cook would like a little brother or sister for their son Woody, eight.
A spokesman for the couple declined yesterday to confirm or deny whether she is pregnant.
Zoe, former presenter of the BBC TV Saturday morning show Live and Kicking, has just landed a Radio 2 weekend breakfast slot.
She was once regarded a lade! tte for her hard partying but since Woody arrived she has devoted her time to her family at their Brighton home and next month the couple are to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary.
Earlier this year her 45-year-old husband, better known as DJ Fatboy Slim, checked himself into rehab to fight his alcoholism, undertaking daily sessions of yoga, acupuncture and group therapy.
In the past, he had made no secret of his dependence on alcohol, and admitted he didn't feel comfortable performing without it.
'Fatboy Slim is my alter ego - he's confident, a bit of a show-off,' he once said.
'It takes me until midnight to psych myself into him. The difference between me and him is a bad Hawaiian shirt and half a bottle of vodka.
'I've tried going on stage sober and it wasn't much fun,' he said.
In February, Cook admitted some of the collaborations on his new album, recorded under the alias The Brighton Port Authority, had been ! recorded during drinking sessions.

Ball has now reportedly urged Cook to stop DJing, fearing it will cause him to slip into his old drinking habits.
